If take personal injury leads, you likely receive a variety of cases. We currently ask our leads to select one of nine case types. It may be tempting to only contact the leads with case types that your firm prefers, such as auto accident or wrongful death. If this is how your firm handles your leads, you may be missing out on slam-dunk cases due to some confusion regarding case types and personal injury law in general.
Personal Injury Leads We Offer
The 9 case types we include on our Free Disability Evaluation include:
- Auto Accident
- Birth Defect
- Defective Drug
- General Liability
- Medical Malpractice
- Product Liability Slip and Fall
- Work Injury
- Wrongful Death
The average user spends just over a minute on our website before converting to a lead. This means that he or she has likely not gotten enough time to fully understand what type of case he or she may have. There are many scenarios in which a consumer could select an inaccurate case type, or when one case could actually fit into one of two categories. Here are just a few examples.
General Liability = Slip and Fall.
Every slip and fall is a general liability case. A consumer may not know the difference between the two when selecting which case they have. If your firm specializes in general liability cases, always consider that leads may not have selected the most accurate case type with slip and fall. Additionally, an auto accident case may be lurking in general liability case types. If an auto mechanic makes a faulty repair that causes a car crash, one of our leads may select general liability in lieu of the more desirable auto accident case type.
Work Injury Could Be Any Case
If someone is injured on the job, he or she may be entitled to both a personal injury claim and a workers’ compensation claim, depending on who was responsible for the injury. Because claimants don’t realize auto accident claims are more desirable, they would not know to select an auto accident case type if they were hurt while working a delivery or other driving job.
Product Liability May Involve Auto Accidents
One of the biggest personal injury claims of all time involved product liability. A GM fuel tank case led to a 4.9 billion dollar settlement due to a car’s gas tank exploding while a family was driving home on Christmas Eve. Again, consumers do not know nearly as much about personal injury law as you and your staff. A confused claimant may have an excellent case, but just doesn’t explain it carefully on our Free Evaluation.
Calling Every Lead
Unless you and your intake staff makes a marked effort to get in contact with each and every lead you receive from eGenerationMarketing, you may be letting excellent cases slip through the cracks and losing profitability. You should be calling leads often. Once your intake staff gets a lead on the phone, you can truly know what case type a claimant has, and whether or not your firm can win the claim in court.
Finally, if you’re still hoping for auto accident claims, rest assured that it’s our most commonly-generated case type.
